Quality Assurance
We strive to keep abreast of changing legislation. Due to the geographical spread of our operations, some of which are situated in mining areas and hence are covered by the Mine Health and Safety Act whilst others are covered by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Regular SHE audits are carried out by the risk department and targeted SHE training is given to all management and staff where relevant. All staff undergo an annual medical screening and follow-up takes place where issues are identified. All training is carried out by accredited service providers. We are a part of the South African Readymix Association (SARMA) and undergo regular audits to comply with the industry standards.
Our quality control prides itself on a fully automated quality software system that enables us to efficiently monitor concrete performance and allows us the opportunity and confidence to optimise our concrete mixes and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace. Our process control is comprised of several national fully-functional satellite laboratories with trained personnel that deliver real-time results. The product quality team is committed to understanding our customer needs and applying our expertise to design and produce concrete mixes with optimal performance to meet the strength and workability requirements as set out in the South African National Standards.
